Why We’re Excited for ACT’s 40th Annual International Conference

Our team always looks forward to conferences like the ACT International Conference, where transportation professionals meet to learn and share. We’ve been counting down to ACT26, and you should be too! This July, the Association for Commuter Transportation marks its 40th Annual International Conference in Philadelphia. CommuteHub by RideAmigos is proud to be the official 40th Anniversary Sponsor, helping welcome everyone to Philadelphia and bringing our A-team to talk TDM, listen to industry leaders, and make new connections.

We’re looking forward to an exciting few days with customers, partners, and friends because ACT’s culture of sharing helps move our mission forward. While this is shaping up to be the biggest in-person gathering of TDM professionals ever, for us, it is just the latest chapter in our long relationship with ACT and the TDM community.

We’ve grown together with ACT

In 2011, RideAmigos launched the first-ever “virtual TMA,” a platform specifically designed to automate TDM programs, like incentives and guaranteed rides, for transportation management organizations like the Century City TMO in Los Angeles. Over the years, through partnership with many of the most innovative organizations in TDM, that experiment grew into CommuteHub, the powerful platform now trusted by employers, universities, MPOs, and state DOTs to scale effective commute trip reduction and parking demand management programs, distributing millions of dollars of incentives and subsidies every year. ACT has been part of our story nearly the whole way: we’re an ACT Corporate Champion, with team members serving as volunteer leaders in regional chapters and councils.

We have been proud to participate in ACT committees and task forces, helping shape and deliver the policy recommendations ACT brought to Washington. Members of our team in the United States and Europe also joined ACT’s 2025 delegation to the UK last spring, learning directly from Modeshift and UK venues like Wembley and Wimbledon about how large-event TDM planning can work when it’s done right, research we then brought back and shared with the rest of the field.

Our mission is to empower everyone to make smarter commute choices, and technology is helping our customers scale personalized strategies to make a bigger impact than ever before. We seek out thought leaders and innovators working toward the same goals and committed to doing what works. ACT is a place where those leaders come to share their knowledge and experience.

We exist to empower you, the professionals doing the work

ACT26 is, first and foremost, an organization of the people actually building and running TDM effective programs: connecting people with transportation options, experimenting with data-driven modeshift incentives, pushing for more informed parking policies, and advocating for commuter benefits in the real world, often with a limited budget and historically, an even more limited mandate to show results. That’s what makes this gathering so remarkable. People come together in the spirit of collaboration, sharing mistakes as well as success stories, and working to create real results, not to check a box, but because this work matters. We’re excited to spend the week in sessions and in conversations with them.

Let’s talk about real impact

The conversations we’re most looking forward to in Philadelphia are about results. Across our customers, we’ve helped take tens of millions of cars off the road, save commuters hundreds of millions of dollars, and cut our collective carbon footprint by more than 200,000 tons. Highly renowned workplace parking and TDM programs powered by CommuteHub, as well as state and regional agencies like the Oregon Department of Transportation, the Atlanta Regional Commission, Valley Metro, and Commute.org show what’s possible when TDM strategy, employer incentives, parking management, and commuter benefits work together instead of as separate, disconnected tools.

We are excited to meet fellow TDM nerds, hear what moved the needle, what didn’t, and what your data actually says.

Of course, we are BEYOND excited to talk about CommuteHub, and we are coming prepared to show and tell. If you’re at the conference, please stop by the CommuteHub by RideAmigos booth in the vendor expo, catch us at the Welcome Reception, or grab us in a session so we can compare notes. Forty years in, ACT is more than ever the place where this profession comes to get better at what we all do. We are grateful to be a part of it!
